Learn to quickly recognize others thoughts and feelings, and respond accordingly.
Wouldn’t it be handy to be a mind reader? You don’t have to be a psychic, people’s thoughts and feelings are directly reflected in nonconscious cues that you can learn to recognize. Things like body position, facial expressions, eye movement, changes in voice or respiration, micro movements of hands – even where someone chooses to sit in a room can give you a great deal of information on what that person is thinking, how they think, and how you can direct your interaction with them intentionally.
What monstrosities would walk the streets were some people’s faces as unfinished as their minds. – Eric Hoffer
Everything most people are thinking is reflected by their body, and they don’t know it. Once you’ve become adept at paying attention to and identifying these “tells”, you may:
- Understand people’s thought processes and motivations
- Be able to motivate another person to think in a desired way
- Be more persuasive and have greater success in negotiations
- Avoid misunderstandings and experience more positive relationships
- Know when others are lying
- Thoughtfully control your own body, voice and language in order to achieve your goals
This workshop is a favorite of Fortune 500 executives – and you can benefit from the same skills to achieve greater success in your life.
What you will learn
This is a 2 day training. The first day focuses on knowing how people think (recognizing changes in body usage and position, muscle and facial cues, eye movement and dilation, primary, behavioral cues, listening to changes in voice, inflection, pace, observing changes in respiration, recognizing changes in language usage and patterns). The second day focuses on getting people to think in a way necessary to achieve some goal or outcome you desire (interrogation, deposition, extracting information to finalize contracts, forcing “tells”).
Format and what to expect
The Know What People Are Thinking workshops are held in person over two days, usually over a weekend, at a variety of locations and venues. Expect a warm, welcoming and comfortable group environment. Exact content will be customized based on the needs of the participants. Private training is also available if you prefer, please contact us for more information.
This training is led by a team of NextStage trainers. See our About page for more information and details on their extensive backgrounds and qualifications.
What to Wear and Bring
We suggest wearing clothing you are comfortable in. Many people find gym clothes are the best option. This training requires extensive focus both by you and by the trainers, and cell phones and other similar distractions will be collected at the beginning of each day. Our on-site coordinators can act as an emergency contact if needed.
